I believe in the importance of nurturing our minds, as we would our bodies. Treating ourselves with the kindness and compassion as we would a good friend or family member. People who nurture their emotional health are usually more mindful of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and therefore more resilient in the face of adversity.
I am passionate about helping people in the face of new challenges or stressful life events. I can support you in recognising your strengths; help you build healthy coping strategies; and refocus on what is most important to you in life and how you can achieve this.
General Psychological Support
General adolescent and adult therapy that can support you through various common life experiences that we all encounter, which can sometimes contribute to a lowered sense of coping.
Antenatal and Postnatal Support
Specialised support for clients during the perinatal period who may be experiencing:
Fertility and conception difficulties;
Low mood and anxiety during pregnancy
Postnatal anxiety and depression after the birth of you baby.
Adjustment to parenthood/managing parent stress
Grief and loss
Providing group based support for parents on a range of topics including mindfulness parenting strategies; cognitive strategies for coping with anxiety and low mood during parenthood; and addressing common parenting challenges in managing child behaviours.
